The stimulating gels we carry are meant to be used EXTERNALLY, on the clitoris and
surrounding tissue. Typically, they have two active ingredients that cause a stimulating
effect: MENTHOL, which causes an immediate "Icy/hot/tingly"sensation...and an amino
acid called L-rginine, which causes the tissues it touches to vasodilate. So: if
you rub these gels into your clitoris, it will tingle, and the capillaries in the
area will engorge with blood, mimicking what happens when you get aroused the "natural"
way. You will feel more sensitive to pressure, touch, and temperature changes. It's
not magic...it's not orgasm in a tube...but it DOES make you *focus*, for a short
period of time, on your crotch...which is necessary to enjoy sex and to have orgasms.
People with the best response to these gels are women on opiate-based pain medications
or antidepressants, or women going through hormone fluctuations (such as a peri-
through post-menopausal period, or women ging on or coming off a birth control regimen.
Because these gels aren't used IN or AROUND a vagina or urethra, they don't
contribute to increased infection problems, like many "warming lubricants". However,
they should NOT be used by people with herpes infections, as they can precipitate
an outbreak.
